A couple mailers were recently sent out to the voter of House District 2 saying that I am Bringing Washington Values to Wyoming. Here is my response:
HB0069 had nothing to do with “locking up natural resources.” It was about property rights and provided that significant alterations to reclamation plans be made with the consent of a landowner, which would, if passed, allow mining to CONTINUE. Characterizing this bill as "locking up natural resources" is dishonest.
This was the ESA bill. My issues with this bill:
The mailer doesn't tell you that I voted FOR the bill when it provided universal school choice and contained no pre-K provisions, but then voted against it when these common sense portions were stripped out.
HB0066 ~This was the bill prohibiting mask, vaccine and testing discrimination. This was a tough bill for me, because it pitted the rights of individuals against the rights of business owners. I feel that rights of an individual trump the rights of a business owner who has no business knowing if you have been vaccinated or tested.
As always, I am ready and willing to talk to you if you have any questions. Please feel free to call, text, or email me.
Thank you to all who voted for me and stood by me in the race. I hope to see you around.
I hope that you will all work on being involved and aware of all that is happening in our local government
